Racing for Charity on Runway of World’s Busiest Airport

ATLANTA, USA – Aventure Aviation joined thousands of participants at Atlanta’s annual Mayor’s 5K on the 5th Runway, held October 5 at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Hosted by Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens, this unique 5K allows participants to compete for charity on one of the world’s busiest and most important runways at the busiest airport on the planet. The 5th runway sees over 100,000 landings and takeoffs yearly.

The length of a 5K race is 5 kilometers (3.1 miles), a distance favored among new and experienced runners alike.

Attending for Aventure was CEO Zaheer Faruqi, director of sales Hamzah Faruqi, and marketing associate Michael Griffiths Jr.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of this iconic race, which welcomes participants of all abilities, ages ten and older. Over $200,000 was raised for the Mayor’s Youth Scholarship Program and the United Way of Greater Atlanta.

“It was amazing to represent Aventure and run for a cause that means a lot to me,” said Michael.
