PEACHTREE CITY, USA – This month marks the 15th anniversary of Aventure’s Contrails newsletter. Debuting February 2011, the monthly e-newsletter features Aventure news, trade show participation, community happenings, as well as historical events in aviation.
Aventure also celebrates it’s 25th anniversary this year.
The word contrails is short for “condensation trails,” also known as vapor trails. These line-shaped clouds are formed by aircraft engine exhaust or changes in air pressure, typically at cruising altitudes miles above the Earth’s surface.
The debut issue of Contrails was designed to be read on a full size computer monitor, and featured a three-column layout that mimicked a printed newsletter. The eventual popularity of mobile devices would lead to a more streamlined one-column approach.
