MRO Americas and FIDAE Attended by Aventure the Same Week

PEACHTREE CITY, USA – Aventure Aviation attended MRO Americas and FIDAE (Feria Internacional del Aire y del Espacio), both of which took place the first week of April. MRO Americas was held April 9–11 at McCormick Place in Chicago, while FIDAE was held April 9–14 at Arturo Merino Benítez Airport in Santiago, Chile.

This is the first time MRO Americas was held in Chicago. The annual event is the largest of its kind for the commercial air transport maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) industry, and hosted over 45 guest speakers.

The event also hosts the annual Aerospace Maintenance Competition (AVM), where teams representing educational institutions, commercial airlines, repair and manufacturing companies, general aviation and space competed to learn from one another and find out who’s the best of the best.

Attending on behalf of Aventure was the directors of strategic accounts Kevin Lang and Stefan Shemaitis.

“Our in-person meetings with vendors and MRO shops was very productive,” said Stefan. “We greatly value the insights gained and connections made.”

This year marks the 44th anniversary of FIDAE, which was first held in 1980 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Chilean Air Force. FIDAE promotes the development of the aerospace, defense, and security fields. The biennial event provides opportunities for technological and commercial exchange to participating organizations, and to generate greater aeronautical awareness in Latin America.

Attending FIDAE on behalf of Aventure Aviation was Ron Taylo, manager of military sales.
