PEACHTREE CITY, USA – Aventure joined those celebrating Diwali, the Festival of Lights, which took place November 10–14. Diwali is a major holiday in Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism.
The five-day celebration is observed during the Hindu months of Ashvin and Kartika. Diwali themes include the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.
Diwali is celebrated by over one billion people across the globe, with millions of families gathering to eat sweets, exchange gifts, light clay oil lamps called diyas, and watch fireworks.
Celebrated with illuminated homes and festive meals, the holiday provides a sense of joy, unity, and spiritual reflection among communities not only in India, but all around the world.
