Aventure to Sponsor AIM School in Aerospace Maintenance Competition

PEACHTREE CITY, USA – Aventure will sponsor a team from Atlanta’s Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) to compete in the Aerospace Maintenance Competition (AMC) for the next three years. The 2023 event will take place April 18–20 at Georgia World Congress in Atlanta.

The competition is held annually in conjunction with the MRO Americas tradeshow. It provides an opportunity for current and future maintenance professionals to showcase their abilities and see how they stack up against peers.

Over 90 five-member teams will complete in maintenance events intended to test the skills required of an aviation maintenance technician. Teams represent educational institutions, commercial airlines, repair and manufacturing companies, and others.

Aventure previously sponsored the competition in 2015.

“The AMC is where aircraft maintenance technicians, aircraft maintenance engineers, and military maintainers can display the knowledge, skill, and integrity that are the foundation of our profession,” said Ken MacTiernan, AMC chairman and vice president of the Aerospace Maintenance Council.

“It also gives industry the opportunity to showcase their skilled, professional workforce. Aventure’s sponsorship is a perfect example of how the industry gets behind the next generation of aircraft maintenance technicians,” he added.

“Our team includes five of our best students who are ready for the challenge,” said Ben Sitton, executive director of AIM School. “We thank Aventure Aviation for sponsoring us.”

“Giving back to our community is one of our core values,” said Kevin Lang Aventure’s director of strategic accounts.
