PEACHTREE CITY, USA – Aventure Aviation will join thousands of people from the Atlanta area by rising early to lace up for Mayor’s 5K on the 5th runway.
Held October 5, the charity race brings runners to the fifth runway of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the world’s busiest with over 104 million annual passengers.
Hosted by Atlanta’s Mayor Andre Dickens, proceeds will benefit the Mayor’s Youth Scholarship Program and the United Way of Greater Atlanta.
This year marks the tenth anniversary of this iconic race, which welcomes participants of all abilities, ages ten and older. It provides a unique opportunity to race on the runway of a major international airport.
“Our team is called the Spirit of Aventure, a name first used almost 20 years ago when we competed in the 2005 edition of Redbull Flugtag in Dubai,” said director of sales Hamzah Faruqi, referencing the 2005 competition where Aventure partnered with a local university to build and pilot a flying machine.
