Aventure Aviation Receives GLOBE Award

ATLANTA, USA – Aventure Aviation has received a 2016 GLOBE (Georgia Launching Opportunities by Exporting) Award, presented by U.S. Governor and First Lady Nathan Deal and the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD). The award was given at the annual Go Global Reception on March 8 at the Atlanta History Center.

The state-led awards program honors Georgia companies that have entered into a new international market in the preceding year. In 2015, Aventure entered the Philippines, Panama and South Korea.

In attendance to accept the award were Zaheer Faruqi, President of Aventure, Amyr Qureshi, Senior Vice President, and Ron Taylo, Vice President of Military Business Development.

“As an aircraft parts supplier, 80% of our sales goes to overseas markets,” said Faruqi. “We are honored to represent the state of Georgia as a competitive player in the international realm. The GDEcD’s international trade services have been integral in supporting our company’s growth.”

Twenty six companies were recognized for entering, in total, 102 new markets, adding to Georgia’s export sales of about $38.5 billion to 217 countries and territories.
