PEACHTREE CITY, USA – Aventure Aviation has acquired Atlanta Aviation International, an FAA Certified Repair Station based in Atlanta, Georgia.
Founded in 1994, Atlanta Aviation International is a well-established MRO shop that refurbishes aircraft interiors for commercial, business, general aviation, rotorcraft, and militaryaircraft.
Atlanta Aviation International has a large domestic and global customer base established over three decades which will further complement the customer base of Aventure.
The acquisition involves relocation of the Atlanta Aviation shop. It will become part of the Aventure campus located in Peachtree City, Georgia, which includes a newly-built 70,000 square foot state-of-the-art warehouse.
Together, Aventure and Atlanta Aviation will create a strong diversified portfolio and synergy that will allow both companies to globally scale their capabilities and offer additional services while pursuing new opportunities in the aftermarket platform and MRO services.
This relationship, a combination of more than 55 years of aviation industry experience, will strengthen their sales and customer support capabilities while also providing options for aircraft owners with new and improved refurbished aircraft interiors.
Atlanta Aviation International President Mike Thatch and his entire team will continue their roles to provide a seamless transition to the new location and continue to provide the outstanding services they are known for in the industry.
“The acquisition of Atlanta Aviation represents an important threshold for Aventure and helps build our strategy of bringing the capabilities of an MRO shop in-house for the first time,” said Aventure President Talha Faruqi. “We have admired the success of Atlanta Aviation for a long time, and it’s a strategic move on our part to now provide complementary capabilities and MRO services for our huge inventory of aircraft parts.”
“With a scaled MRO facility inside the Aventure campus, we will increase our offering across different platforms in the aviation industry that incorporates the growing commercial airline and MRO industry, business and general aircraft, helicopters and defense markets,” Faruqi continued. “The transaction significantly expands our business model and strengthens our position as a partner to aviation operators worldwide. Together, we will provide existing services and increase capabilities into other aviation components.”
“We are incredibly proud of this new relationship and are determined to accelerate our capabilities while leveraging Aventure’s purchase of end-of-life aircraft and offering solutions to customers with refurbished aircraft interior parts on sale and exchange basis,” said Michael Thatch, President of Atlanta Aviation. “Aventure’s strong relationships with commercial and military customers and leasing companies will certainly help Atlanta Aviation reach new heights.”
