Georgia District Export Council Honored in Washington

WASHINGTON, DC – The Georgia District Export Council (GDEC) was named District Export Council of the year at the 2023 Annual National Export Conference, held May 9 in Washington, DC. The conference is hosted by the National Association of the District Export Councils.

GDEC is a non-profit, private sector advisory board whose mission is to increase Georgia’s economy by growing U.S. exports. Appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, GDEC members are considered the state’s most experienced exporters.

As a GDEC member, Aventure Aviation shares its expertise to help other Georgia-based companies export all over the world.

Closely affiliated with the U.S. Commerce Department, GDEC is one of 60 District Export Councils around USA that support and amplify the government’s export promotion efforts.

GDEC works in partnership with the International Trade Administration (ITA) office in Georgia, and the U.S. Commercial Services office located in Aventure’s hometown in Atlanta.

“We have benefited from the services of ITA, who provide trade experts and knowledge in over 80 countries through U.S. embassies and consulates,” said Aventure sales director Andrew Crombie. “We consider it our obligation to support the efforts of ITA, and help other companies with their exporting endeavors.”
