ATLANTA, USA – Held every four years, the World Cup is the premier international soccer (football) tournament, where national teams compete to become world champions. This year’s event will see a massive increase to 48 teams and will feature three host nations: USA, Canada, and Mexico. The expanded structure will result in more matches and a wider global representation than in past editions.
Aventure has celebrated every World Cup since 2006 by holding a contest where participants predict match results. Past contests brought together aviation professionals from around the world, and Aventure will continue this tradition for 2026.
The top prize in 2006 was a then state-of-the-art portable DVD player, while the top prize for 2022 was a new iPhone.
“The World Cup is a global celebration of sport,” said Hamzah Faruqi, Aventure’s director of sales, “With Atlanta hosting key matches, it’s exciting to see our city on the global stage.”
