Twenty Years of Reaching New Heights

Aventure Aviation has a proud heritage of service, dating from our founding in 2001. We have since grown into an award-winning commercial and military aviation parts supplier and provider of component repair management services. We are happy to share some of our milestones during our two decades in business. We look forward to what the next twenty years will bring.

September 1, 2001

Company is formed

The company is established as “Axis Aviation” by Zaheer Faruqi and Amyr Qureshi. Offering commercial aviation parts and services, operations start out of Zaheer’s residential garage in the U.S. State of Georgia, just south of Atlanta.

February 2, 2002

Aventure is named

The company is renamed Aventure International Aviation Services, and marketed as “Aventure Aviation” or simply “Aventure.”

Dedicated office space

Aventure moves out of Zaheer’s garage and relocates  to a rented office and warehouse in Peachtree City, Georgia.

First consignment

Aventure initiates its first of many consignment agreements, by providing Boeing 727 and 747 surplus inventory to Qatar Airways.

Exhibit at Dubai Airshow

Aventure exhibits at the Dubai Airshow for the first time, generating significant interest for its products and services in the region.

ASA100 accreditation

Aventure receives ASA100 accreditation from the Aviation Suppliers Association, based on the results of a 36 month audit program.

Boeing 737NG study

Aventure is selected by Boeing to provide a study on their 737NG parts pricing.

First international office

Aventure opens its first office outside the United States. The Toronto office is established to better serve a growing customer base in Canada.

New headquarters

Aventure completes construction of its new Atlanta-based global headquarters, a purpose-built building consisting of 16,600 square feet of office and warehouse space.

Exporter of the year

Aventure receives the first of many U.S. Small Business Administration awards when the State of Georgia declares the company “Exporter of the Year.”

Military division

Aventure establishes its military division, with the initial focus on supplying parts for the Lockheed C-130 “Hercules” transport aircraft.

Best spare parts provider

Aircraft Technology Enginnering & Maintenace (ATE&M) names Aventure best spare parts provider.

Ranked a fastest-growing private company 

Inc. Magazine ranks Aventure among the fastest-growing private companies for the first of four consecutive years.

January 2014

Acquires first teardown aircraft

Aventure acquires its first aircraft, a Boeing 767, to dismantled for parts. Many more aircraft will be purchased to further increase the quantity and variety of product offerings.

Aventure enters China

Aventure enters the Chinese market by hiring Chinese account executives and exhibiting at Aviation Expo/China 2015. This effort leads to Aventure opening a Beijing sales office to further support a growing customer base.

JPMorgan Chase grant winner

Aventure wins first prize in the Atlanta Metro Export Challenge, a JPMorgan Chase–powered grant program.

New leadership roles

Talha Faruqi is appointed President of Aventure. Founding President Zaheer Faruqi enters a new role as CEO, working with customers, employees, and owners, to focus on the long-term success of the company.

U.S. Presidential Award

Aventure receives the President’s “E” award for excellence in export. This is the highest recognition a U.S. entity can receive for making a significant contribution to the expansion of American exports.
