Future African Leaders of Mandela Fellowship Learn from Aventure Aviation

ATLANTA, USA – The president of Aventure Aviation, Zaheer Faruqi, spoke to recipients of the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders at a “Lunch N Learn” session held July 2 at Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia. Faruqi discussed Aventure’s path to entrepreneurship, its growth, experience on the African continent, and lessons learned.

The Fellows, aged between 25 and 35, have established records of accomplishment in promoting innovation and have had a positive impact in their organizations, institutions, communities, and countries.

This was the fifth consecutive year the University hosted the fellows. The first four classes represented all 49 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. This year, the Fellowship will provide up to 700 outstanding young leaders with the opportunity to hone their skills at a U.S. higher education institution and have professional development support after they return home.
