Aventure Staff Donates 3,961 Pounds of Food and Items for Holidays

PEACHTREE CITY, USA – About two dozen staff members from Aventure’s Atlanta headquarters collected food and household items for the Real Life Center’s food pantry for the holiday season. A total of 3,961 pounds of food and household items were donated by Aventure staff.

This impressive amount was achieved by Aventure staff forming three teams and having a friendly competition to see which team could collect the most items.

Established in 1998, Real Life Center is a highly respected non-profit organization in Atlanta, serving families in the US State of Georgia experiencing unexpected hard times. They provide “a hand up and not a handout,” with each client receiving a customized one-year plan which promotes long term-change. From January to October 2015, the center’s food pantry has served 448,563 pounds of food and served 5,170 families.

“It was great to participate in the food drive because it gave me the opportunity to help make a difference in my community,” commented Joletta Redd, Aventure’s Data Entry Clerk.

“Our community is fortunate that organizations like the Real Life Center give so much back to those who need it most,” added Christian Jackson, Aventure’s Warehouse Assistant. “To have been a small part of the good work they do was a humbling experience.”
