Aventure Goes the Distance at Atlanta Hunger Walk

ATLANTA, USA – The Atlanta Community Food Bank hosted its annual Hunger Walk Run 5k in Aventure’s hometown of Atlanta Georgia on March 6. It started at the “Home Depot Backyard,” a 13-acre area around the Mercedes-Benz Stadium that features arts, entertainment and cultural experiences.

Aventure Office Manager Chelsea Griffin and Government Sales Manager Lyly Cao participated in person, while other team members participated in a virtual option.

The route went by some of Atlanta’s most famous locations, including the Mercedes Benz Stadium, the Georgia Aquarium, and the World of Coca-Cola.

“It was really fun, and a great opportunity to give back to our local community,” said Lyly. “I’m glad to have experienced it with my peers both live and virtually.”

This year marks the event’s 38th anniversary. During that time, it raised nearly $12 million for hunger relief—enough to help provide over 46 million meals. This year’s event raised over $550,000 for six local hunger relief organizations.
