Aventure Director Completes 18-Day Bike Ride Marathon for Cancer Research

October 1, 2018 | Peachtree City, USA

Aventure Aviation′s Director of Business Development for Europe, Alan Taylor, and his team completed the Cycling4Cancer event, which took place September 12–29 in Southern England. Their efforts raised money and awareness in support of vital cancer research, with proceeds going to the London-based charity Cancer Research UK.

The 1,200 mile ride took 18 days to complete, covering the whole length of the island of Great Britain, from Land′s End, the most westernly point of England, to John o′ Groats, the most northerly point in Scotland.

Alan was motivated to ride by his wife, Jan, a recent cancer survivor. His team met and exceeded their £10,000 goal.

"I am immensely proud of our achievement and would like to again thank Aventure for their support," said Alan. "The part of the ride I loved most was the challenge of the hills, not so easy at my age," he added.
